Directions From London

From London the most direct route on road is to take the M1 north and then cut onto the M6 at Rugby.  Continue with the M6 right up to Carslile and take the M74 through to Glasgow.  Then follow the directions from Glasgow.

If you do not like driving all the way from London, an alternative is to take Easy Jet from Luton Airport to Inverness and hire a car from there.  The flight will cost from around sixty pounds return if you book well in advance and the journey takes only an hour by plane.  You can then hire a car at Inverness airport and it is another hour and a half to the cottage from there - simply follow the directions from Inverness.
