The most direct route from Inverness is to follow the A9 to Tore (8 miles) and then pick up the A835 to Ullapool via Contin, Garve and Braemore Junction.  The roads are all of high quality and the only potential problems can be mist, wind and snow during the winter season.

Approximately 40 miles from Inverness you will pass the cut-off for Little Loch Broom (A832) at Braemore Junction and a further mile on you will pass the National Trust site for the impressive Corrieshalloch Gorge.  A further 3 miles and you will see the sign for Letters/Loggie at Inverbroom on your left. Take this road over the river and turn right after about 100 yards. Continue for another 2 miles and the cottage is located on the left hand side of the road.

Approximate journey time 1 hour.
